James Frank Hayes

    Presque Isle – James F. Hayes, 63, died at his home December 20, 2006. He was born in Presque Isle May 11, 1943, the son of Frank and Audrey (Hawksley) Hayes.
    He was a graduate of Presque Isle High School and attended Husson College. Jim was a member of the Presque Isle Congregational Church and had been active with the Boys Scouts as a scout then later as a scout leader. He had been in business with his father at Presque Isle Volkswagon for many years. Jim in later years was employed at Slipp Ford and then Whited Ford.
    He is survived by his parents of Presque Isle and many special cousins and friends.
    A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 27th at the Presque Isle Congregational Church with the Rev. Dr. Robert Grove-Markwood officiating. In honor of his love for animals the family has asked that gifts in his memory be sent to the Central Aroostook Humane Society, P.O. Box 1115, Presque Isle, ME 04769 or gifts may be sent to the American Diabetes Assoc., 163 Lancaster St., Portland, ME 04101.
