To the editor:
The Northern Lighthouse has concluded their third annual food/gift drive to benefit the families that we serve. Through the generosity of many people 20 families in Aroostook County will be provided with Christmas Dinner boxes including turkeys, potatoes, stuffing and all the fixings.
The families will also be provided with much needed warm winter clothes such as hats, mittens, boots, and coats. As well as warm winter bedding. Most importantly to our younger clients they will have toys under their Christmas tree.
We would like to thank all of those who made this event a huge success especially to our employees that embraced this project, purchased items and shared in our enthusiasm. Also thanks to Pastor Beals and East Ridge Union Church, Cushman’s Embroidery, The Presque Isle Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, The Mars Hill Extension and the Mars Hill Community Club.
We would also like thank all of those that attended, participated and donated at our Christmas Concert, it was a huge success. May your Christmas be brighter because you gave, thank you!
