Correction

In the Dec. 20 issue of the Star-Herald the second quotation in the article “Bears down Eagles” was mistakenly attributed to Easton’s Jeremy Brock instead of teammate Brad Trask. We apologize for the error and any confusion it may have caused.

PIHS athlete of the week

The Varsity Club and Big Cheese Pizza are pleased to congratulate Ben McPherson and Angela Norsworthy for being selected as athletes of the week for the week of Dec. 11-16.

McPherson scored three goals and added two assists to lead the hockey team to a 5-5 tie with Orono and a 3-1 victory over Old Town. According to coach Carl Flynn, “Ben continues to lead the team as a captain should, both on and off the ice.”

Norsworthy helped the girls’ varsity basketball team down two tough opponents with 24 points against Mount Desert Island and 18 against Ellsworth.
