Littleton – Robert D. (Bob) Walton 79, died January 5, 2007 after a courageous battle with Small Cell Lung Cancer, one day after celebrating his 60th wedding anniversary. He was born March 26, 1927 in Presque Isle, the son of Elmer B. and Dorothy (Argraves) Walton.
    Bob was employed as Assistant Manager of Monticello Starch Factory 1947-1957, Farmed with his father from 1955-1969, International Paper Co. Box Division of Miami, FL from 1972-1986, Owner\Operator of BGS Produce 1987-2003.  He was a Charter Member of Kiwanis Club of Monticello, Member of Bridgewater Odd Fellows and former Member of Houlton Lodge of Elks. He served in WWII in the Navy as a Seaman 1st Class.
    He is survived by his wife Mabel (McGuire) Walton of Littleton; two daughters Susan Nason and her husband Keith, Nancy Golding and her husband Garth all of Littleton; four special grandchildren Stephen Nason and his wife Darcie of Monticello, Rob Nason of Hermon, Stephanie Umphrey and her husband Ryan of Washburn and Rachael Davis and her husband Paul (Skip) of Guilford; four great grandchildren, best buddies Stephen and Logan Nason, Cassidy Nason and Sadie Davis; brothers Alan (Skip) Walton and his wife Edith of Brewer and Lady Lake, FL, Gary Walton of Monmouth; brothers-in-law Forrest Ireland of Presque Isle, Harry Boyle of Virginia; sister-in-law Hilda Walton of Presque Isle; special niece Becki Beaulieu, several nieces and nephews; special friends Donald Davis of Littleton, Ralph Boulier of Houlton.  He was predeceased by his parents, sisters Jeanie Walton and Maxine Ireland, brothers Jackie, Reginald and Bernard (Bunny) Walton.  His special pastime was spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
    At Bob’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral. A private service for the family will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make gifts to VNA/Hospice of Aroostook or to Small Cell Lung Cancer Research c/o Dunn Funeral Home 11 Park Street Houlton, 04730.
