Hockey team downs Hampden Academy

    HAMPDEN, Maine – The Presque Isle varsity hockey team picked up an 8-2 win over Hampden on Wednesday, outshooting the team 44-16 on their home ice.

Dyllan Collins led the team with three goals and an assist while Jason Martin and Greg Cyr added two goals each. Brandon Daigle rounded out Wildcat scoring.
Adding assists were Ben McPherson, Spencer Deschene, Matt Talbot, Steve Ford and Brennan Shaw with two each and Sean Flanagin with one.
Ethan Hill stopped 14 of the 16 shots he faced. The Wildcats improve to 4-4-1 on the season, but fall into sixth place in the Eastern Maine Class B hockey standings.
Presque Isle is at Foxcroft Academy Thursday night beginning at 7:40 and host John Bapst Saturday at 7 p.m.
