To the editor:
During the recent holiday season your local American Red Cross here in Aroostook, again had the opportunity to provide gift-wrapping services at the Aroostook Centre Mall. From Black Friday in November to Christmas Eve, many volunteer elves assisted in making sure those special packages were wrapped to perfection to be placed under the tree for Christmas day. Not to mention raising the much needed funds to support Disaster Services operations here in Aroostook County.
To the many individuals that volunteered wrapping services we thank you so much. Also to the special organizations and businesses that supported our cause a special thank you to you — The Aroostook Centre Mall Manager Patti Crooks and her staff, Aroostook Retired Senior Volunteer Program, WAGM-TV, Netherland Office Products, K-Mart, Mardens, and Wal-Mart. All so to those folks that stopped by the booth and office to help financially support the Christmas week fire tragedies, we thank you.
As always your American Red Cross is here to assist with immediate needs following local disasters such as house fire, but we need your support to fund this assistance.
The generosity shown over the holiday season proves once again that county folk’s support those causes that help our own in time of need. Thank you again, and we look forward to your continued support.
