CONTINUED PATRONAGE has been a big reason for Dwight Helstrom’s success at his Presque Isle barber shop, located on Main Street. For over 40 years, Dwight’s has been serving the needs of patrons from all over Aroostook County.
The combination of a good cut and pleasant conversation keep customers returning – in some cases several generations from the same family. Scott Lary, of Caribou, is pictured here as Dwight cuts his hair. The 2006 visit was just the latest for Lary, who’s made it a habit to stop by Dwight’s any time he was in the area. Beginning with haircuts during his UMPI college years back in the 1970s, Lary, a member of the Immigration and Border Protection Agency, has relied on Dwight’s expert hands to keep him looking his best whenever work brought him back to Aroostook County.
