PRESQUE ISLE – March 2 has been designated for the Presque Isle Area Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Meeting and Citizen of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Awards Banquet.
“We’ll be hosting our annual banquet on Friday, March 2. This year’s annual recognition dinner theme will be ‘Presque Isle: A Community Rich in History’ and will be held at the Presque Isle Inn & Convention Center,” said Allen Deeves, executive director of the PIACC.
The social event will begin at 6 p.m., with dinner and entertainment at 6:30 p.m. The cost to attend will be $30 per individual, $50 per couple and $200 for a table of eight.
The suggested attire for the evening will be semi-formal. Attendees will have a choice of dinner options.
“A buffet will be provided with choices including: vegetarian lasagna, baked haddock and stuffed chicken breast. Reservations are required and reserved seating is only available if you purchase a table for eight,” said Deeves.
Nominations have been reviewed, with this year’s award recipients as follows:
• Lifetime Achievement Award – Caroline Gentile;
• Citizen of the Year – Timothy McMahon;
• Business of the Year – Sinawik, Inc.; and
• Volunteer of the Year – Sue Brown.
