Haynes, Chester A., 92, died February 23, 2007 at Caribou. Arrangements are in the care of Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.     WASHBURN – Chester A. Haynes, 92, died February 23, 2007 at Caribou. He was born at Washburn, May 13, 1914, the son of Alvan S. and Grace (Shaw) Haynes. He was educated in the Washburn School System and was a self-employed dairy farmer for many years and was also employed at Caribou Ford.  He was a member of the Lidstone United Methodist Church for over 50 years.   Chester was a former Town Selectman for the town of Woodland and was a member of the Dairymen’s Association and was active in the Wade Grange. Chester was a world traveler spending the winter months in Spain. He was an avid gardener and was very proud of his raspberry crop.
    He is survived by many cousins and many close friends.
    Funeral services were held 2:00pm, Monday, February 26, 2007 from the chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert McCarthy, officiating. Spring interment will take place in the Riverside Cemetery, Washburn.
