Opal Joyce (Fields) Crahan

Crahan, Opal Joyce (Fields), 77, died February 6, 2007 in Springdale, Ark. Arrangements are in the care of Dunn Funeral Home, Bristol, CT.     BELLA VISTA, ARK – Opal (Fields) Crahan, 77, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at the Circle of Life in Springdale, Ark. She was the widow of Lawrence Crahan. She was born April 17, 1929 in Westfield, Maine, daughter of the late Delmar and Mabel (Libby) Fields.
    Opal was very active in the Bristol Boy Scouts and received an award for all of her devoted and dedicated hard work. She was also a volunteer in many of the area convalescent homes working with the elderly.
    She is survived by a son, Lance and wife Linda of Terryville, Conn.; a daughter Carol Savold and husband Jim of Bella Vista, Ark.; four brothers, Russell Fields and wife Nancy of Camp Verde, AZ, Roland Fields and wife Gladys of Middlefield, Conn., Gary Fields of Presque Isle, Maine, James Fields and wife Barbara of Fallbrook, California; a sister Betty Henderson of Presque Isle, Maine; five grandchildren, Justin, Travis, Scott, Ryan and Shawn; three great-grandchildren, Tyler, Gabriel and Noah; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Kevin Crahan; two brothers, Bernard (Biff) Fields, Orville Fields, and a half brother, Donald Wallace.
    Services were held Monday, February 12, 2007 at Dunn Funeral Home, Bristol, Conn. Burial was at West Cemetery, Bristol, Conn. Pall bearers were Travis, Justin, Shawn and Ryan Crahan, Gary and Mark Fields. Those who wish may donate to The Circle of Life, 901 Jones Rd., Springdale, Ark., 72762 in her memory.
