Spring Carnival
The 2007 Spring Carnival will be held at Fort Street School on Saturday, March 31. Breakfast and an egg hunt will be from 9 to 10 a.m. The carnival will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be a jumping castle, games, coloring contest, face painting, cake walk, pictures with the Easter Bunny, cupcake decorating, door prizes and more. Lunch will be available for $2 – hot dog, chips and a soda.
Kindgergarten registration
Pre-kindergarten and kindergarten registration will be held in SAD 42, Mars Hill and Blaine on Monday, April 9.
Pre-kindergarten students must be four years of age on or before Oct. 15. Students who will be five years of age on or before Oct. 15 are eligible for kindergarten. Please contact Fort Street School (429-8514 or 429-8515) to schedule an appointment to register your child.
The state of Maine requires: (1) proof of immunizations, and (2) birth certificate (Hospital copies are not acceptable. A copy must be obtained from the municipal office of the town or city where you were living when the child was born.) SAD 42 requires these documents at the time of registration.
If you are not a legal parent, a copy of guardianship papers (Probate Court) must be completed before registration.
Those students currently enrolled in the pre-kindergarten program do not need to be registered for the kindergarten program.

Bridgewater Community Club
The Bridgewater Community Club will meet on Thursday, March 29, at 7 p.m. at the home of Edwina Whited, 427 Boundary Line Road, Bridgewater.
The Community Club has been organized to promote friendship among women of all ages and to undertake projects that improve the community. Membership dues are one dollar per month, and all interested women are invited to attend.

Senior citizen meals
The Central Aroostook High School cafeteria will be a meal site for area senior citizens on Tuesdays, beginning Feb. 27. Senior citizens will be served at 12 noon each Tuesday that school is in session. The cost of the meal will be $3.25, payable at the meal site.

Rotary Club
The Mars Hill Rotary Club met on Tuesday morning at 6:30 a.m. at the Aroostook Health Center in Mars Hill. The special guests were the members of the Central Aroostook Ski Team along with their coaches, Dennis Larrabee and Mia Pangburn.
Special congratulations go to the team for a great finish in the State Class D Ski Meet. The boys’ team won the State Class D title in the Alpine division.
Mini pageant
The Miss Greater Mars Hill and Little Miss Mars Hill Mini Pageants will be held together on Saturday afternoon. The planned date is Saturday, April 7.
