Special to the Star-Herald
Just want to remind you that we will have Story Time with the Animals on the third Saturday of April, which is April 21. Please join us.
We have been so lucky to receive so many wonderful ‘cuddles’ for our cats. You can tell how much they appreciate them and we appreciate you taking the time to make them. It feels great to give our kitties a warm place to lay while they wait for a ‘forever’ home. It also feels great to have the support from the public we serve.
We try very hard to give back to the community by offering programs such as Story Time, doing nursing home visits and offering tours of our shelter or visits with interested groups. We look forward to seeing you this weekend at the annual Craft Fair at the Forum in Presque Isle.
Last month was election month at the Central Aroostook Humane Society. I am proud to announce the election of the following officers: Christine Robinson, president; Jennifer Howlett, vice president; Gloria Towle, secretary; and Debbie Peachey, treasurer. These are all volunteer positions and we are very fortunate to have the volunteers, both on the Board of Directors and at the shelter.
Volunteers are the backbone of our organization; they help our employees daily and we are very appreciative of all of their donated time. If you would like to become a volunteer, please stop by the shelter and speak to Betsy our manager. We can find a place for everyone.
If you are looking for a ‘friend for life,’ please contact the Central Aroostook Humane Society.
We are open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. or you can visit us online at www.centralaroostookhumanesociety.org.
Please have your pets spayed or neutered.
