Adult softball meetings scheduled
The Presque Isle Recreation & Parks will hold organizational meetings for its co-ed and men’s softball leagues on Wednesday, April 18.  The co-ed meeting will be at 7 p.m. and the men’s meeting at 7:45 p.m. at the community center.  Teams interested in participating this summer should have a representative present at the meeting. Individuals interested in joining a team should contact the recreation office prior to the meetings, in order for names to be passed along to captains.  For more information contact the office at 764-2545.
Youth indoor soccer
The Presque Isle Recreation & Parks is offering a youth co-ed indoor soccer program which began on March 8. This is an informal drop-in program with no registration required.
The schedule is as follows: Thursdays 3:15-4:15 p.m. for third-and-fourth graders and 4:15-5:15 p.m. for fifth-and-sixth graders.
All youth must have shin-guards and sneakers to participate.

    Youth open gym
The Presque Isle Recreation and Parks Department has started its open gym hours on Sundays and Saturdays throughout the winter from 1-5 p.m. Grades 1-5 are welcome from 1-3 p.m., and junior high and high school students are welcome from 3-5 p.m. Available activities include gym games, board games, ping pong, foosball, and pool. There is no cost.

Middle school-only open gym
The Presque Isle Recreation and Parks Department offers a middle school-only open gym time on Friday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.     Students in grades 6-8 are invited to come and participate in open gym and other activities. Possible group activities, such as tubing and bowling, may be scheduled for future dates. This is open to SAD 1 students only.

Presque Isle Indoor Pool
The Presque Isle Indoor Pool is taking registration for the March 26 to June 2 session.
Parent-Toddler and Infant Classes: Tuesday at 9-9:25 a.m. or 6-6:25 p.m. and Saturday at 9-9:25 a.m.
Three Year Old Classes: Thursday 9-9:25 a.m., and Friday at 10:30-10:55 a.m.
Four & Five Year Old Non-Swimming Classes: Monday 6:30-6:55 p.m., Tuesday 3-3:25 p.m., 6-6:25 p.m. or 6:30-6:55 p.m., Thursday 10:30-10:55 a.m., 3:30-3:55 p.m., or Friday 9-9:25 a.m., and Saturday at 9:30-9:55 a.m.
Swimming Three-Five for those able to swim 10 yards: Monday 7-7:25 p.m., Tuesday 3:30-3:55 p.m., Thursday at 3-3:25 p.m. and Saturday 9:30-9:55 a.m.
Learn to Swim I (Non-swimming. Must be 6 years old or older): Monday at 6-6:50 p.m., Wednesday 2-2:50 p.m. and Saturday 11-11:50 a.m.
Learn to Swim II & III Classes: Monday at 2-2:50 p.m., Tuesday 3:10-4:00 p.m. , Thursday at 4-4:50 p.m., and Saturday 10-10:50 a.m.
Level IV to VI Classes: Monday 7-7:50 p.m., Tuesday 3-3:50 p.m. or 4-4:50 p.m., Wednesday 3:30-4:20 p.m., Thursday at 4-4:50 p.m. or 6-6:50 p.m., and Saturday 11-11:50 a.m.
Water Walking Class is great for those with arthritis or other medical problems. This class is low impact exercise and is held on: Tuesday and Thursday 9:30-10:20 a.m.
Water Exercise Classes are Monday, Wednesday or Friday 10-10:50 a.m. The class is low to moderate impact exercises designed for toning all muscle groups while providing a great cardiovascular workout. The class is done in the shallow end of the pool. The evening class is Monday and     Wednesday from 6-6:50. The evening class offers complete fitness using water as resistance, running, jumping, cross-country skiing, dancing, and having fun while you get fit in the water.
