CARRIE SHARP – Caribou – 89, Memorial funeral services for Carrie Sharp, who died March 12, 2007 at CT, will be held 1:00p.m., Friday June 15, 2007 from the chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home, with Mary Lou Brown officiating. interment will take place in the Riverside Extension Cemetery, Washburn.
Uncasville, CT – Carrie Edna Alley Sharp, 89, of Uncasville, CT passed away March 12th in Groton, CT. She was born in Wade, Maine on September 16, 1917 one of twelve children to George O. and Carrie I. (Turner) Alley.
A longtime resident of Washburn, ME, she had been a resident of Uncasville for the past five years.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Dwayn Sharp and his wife Patricia of AZ, Dale Sharp and his wife Lulu of Caribou, ME, Catherine Cyr and her husband David of Uncasville, Claris Shaw and her husband Marvin of Mystic, and Caroline Schroth and her husband James of Ft. Myers, FL, 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter and son-in-law, Christine & Bob Gentry and an infant daughter, Carrie Sharp as well as her 11 siblings, George W. Alley, Braighton Alley, Georgia Adams, Vinnie Maynard, Inza Forbes, Eva Randall, Amber Corey, Ada Richardson, Doris Faye, Inez Alley, and Flora Monson.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at a later date. Burial will be in the spring at Riverside Cemetery, Washburn, ME. Please omit flowers.
