Mother/Son Dance
Area moms can help build memories that last a lifetime by getting escorted by their sons to the Community Center Friday, May 11 from 7-9 p.m. to our annual Mother-Son Dance. Boys in grades K-6 and their dates will enjoy an evening of dancing and refreshments. Door prizes and great music provided by “Hits on the Run” will make the night extra-special. Only $6 per couple. Tickets go on sale April 25 at the recreation center.

Indoor Pool
The Presque Isle Indoor Pool will be offering an American Red Cross Lifeguard class starting May 5. You must be 15-years-old or older and be able to swim 300 yards doing front crawl and breaststroke. You must also be able to swim and retrieve a 10 pound brick at the deep end of the pool and tow it back in 1 minute and 40 seconds. The class will be held on May 5, 6, and 12 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. A deposit is required at the time of registration. Class space is limited. Call the indoor pool for more information at 764-2564.

Wednesday, April 24
Seniors will meet in the Manor Parking lot at approximately 10:30 a.m. to car pool to the “lunch and learn” session at the Presque Isle Inn and Convention Center. Lunch will be served at 11. RSVP to Darcy at 768-4000.

Friday, April 20
The elementary school gym will be open from 2:45-4:30 p.m. for all junior high girls.

Monday, April 30
The senior’s group will meet at the Manor Recreation Room at 11 a.m. to make homemade cards with Barbara York. Please bring a sandwich filing to share with the group.
This will be our 6th week of swimming lessons. The bus will depart directly after school and return to the hall at 4:50 p.m.

Tuesday, May 1
There will be an after school program from 2:45- 4:30 p.m. to make May Baskets and celebrate spring. Please remember to send a note to your child’s teacher allowing them to attend.

Wednesday, May 2
Junior activities will meet at the hall from 9:30-11 a.m. This program is open to all children ages 2 through the early childhood program. Parents are welcome to join us.
The senior’s group will meet for exercise at 1 p.m. at the Manor Recreation Room. Please remember comfortable, supportive footwear and a water bottle.
The Easton Recreation Department is in the process of starting up a Weight Watchers Program. If you are interested please call Hillary at 488-7704 with any questions. The cost is $145 for the 12-week program.
Ski for Life cross country skiing is over for the season. Boots, skis and poles must be returned to Mojo’s or you will be billed for your rentals.
