Kenneth Phelps officiating. Presque Isle – Janet R. Dicker, 75, died February 5, 2007 at a Mars Hill healthcare center. She was born March 31, 1931, the daughter of Clifton and Mildred (Arbo) Higgins.
Janet was a graduate of Mapleton High School and received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education from the University of Maine. She taught at the Cunningham Middle School in Presque Isle for over 20 years.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by a sister, Jackie Griffin and two brothers Horace and Charles Higgins. Surviving her are nieces and nephews Douglas Griffin of Portland, Bruce Griffin of Brewer, Vicki Walters of Stratham, NH, Peggi Bryer of Lowell, MA, Jan Hagen of Colorado Springs, CO, William Higgins, Diane Meek and Steven Higgins all of Tolland, CT, Scott Wilson, Brian Wilson, Kevin Wilson, Ramona Cochran, Sherida Wilson and Richelene Thibault all of Presque Isle and Horace Higgins of Georgia.
A graveside service will be held later in the spring at the Southside Cemetery in Mapleton. Gifts in her memory may be sent to the charity of your choice. Arrangements are in the care of the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed at www.duncan-graves.com.
