Local students named to Bates College dean’s list
LEWISTON, Maine – Two local students were named to the dean’s list at Bates College as a result of their scholastic standing during the first semester of the 2006-07 academic year.
To qualify for the dean’s list at Bates, a student must maintain a better than “B+” average for the semester, for a minimum quality point ration of 3.66.
Students named include: Ashland – Alicia A. Gilman, a first-year student, is a 2006 graduate of Ashland Community High School. She is the daughter of Michael and Marjorie Gilman, Ashland.
And Presque Isle – Christina D. Jones, is a senior sociology major. A 2003 graduate of Presque Isle High School, she is the daughter of David Jones, Presque Isle, and Sabine Jones of Castle Hill.
