To the editor:
We would like to thank a local business for being so kind. Our daughters have had the pleasure of participating in the Northern Lights Youth Choir. This year during April vacation they traveled by bus as far south as Augusta, Ga. stopping at various churches in different states to perform each night. They had a wonderful time and met a lot of great people.
One of the things a lot of the choir members look forward to is going to Houlton Farms Dairy Bar after their last home concert. Knowing that the concert would probably last past the closing time of the dairy bar, we called the manager, Mary Lincoln, to see if they would be able to stay open longer — and they did. We figured there would be about 40 kids but there was probably twice that. The young ladies working that night were so nice and never complained about the mass of people coming to the counter. We really appreciated their hard work and willingness to stay later than planned.
Thank you Mary for staying open longer and for your outstanding crew.
