Gribetz – A bright light in our small city

To the editor:
How wonderful to take a column inch or two in acknowledging and praising the work of Ray Gribetz whose “It’s all Grace” exhibit continues to impress in the Turner Library gallery in Presque Isle. Anyone with eyes to see and a heart to beat will sense the great craft and care displayed by Mr. Gribetz as a painter, sculptor, and draftsman.
Moreover, the warmth and moral imperative inclusive within this art moves people in better understanding themselves, their world, and the multi-dimensional vision of an artist at the peak of his creative powers. The gallery indeed feels almost sanctified as you gently maze through the rich display of Ray’s skill with color, form, line, and spiritual motives.
I now count it a special blessing to enjoy almost 20 years of friendship and more with Ray Gribetz, one of the bright lights in our small city. Take the time yourselves now to share in the work of his hands; you won’t leave his art and space untouched.
