Saucier joins Office of Health Policy and Finance

    AUGUSTA, Maine – Gov. John E. Baldacci has named Phil Saucier senior policy and legal adviser to the Governor’s Office of Health Policy and Finance.
“I am pleased to have Phil joining our team,” said Baldacci. “From his first internship at The Aroostook Medical Center to his clerkship at the U.S. District Court, Phil brings a great depth of experience to my team as we continue to improve upon Dirigo and work to make health care more affordable and accessible for all Mainers.”
    Saucier brings to the position strong experience in Maine’s legal system. Most recently, Saucier served as an associate at Verrill Dana where he specialized in administrative law.
Prior to working at Verrill Dana, Saucier served as a law clerk to the Honorable John Woodcock in the U.S. District Court. Saucier is a native of Presque Isle and a graduate of the University of Maine School of Law. He received his bachelor of arts degree from Vassar College.

Brain injury trainer course
    PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – Are you interested in learning more about brain injury? The Brain Injury Association of Maine will hold a train the trainer course in Aroostook County in August. At the conclusion of the course, participants will be able to conduct basic brain injury presentations for schools, healthcare organizations, driving programs and other community groups and organizations. This day-long course is free of charge.
