Funeral arrangements were made by Tapp/Tim Stewart Funeral Home in Buford, Georgia.     GEORGIA and PRESQUE ISLE – Barbara A. Mitchell, 69, died Tuesday, August 7, 2007 in Georgia. She was born January 29, 1938 in Presque Isle the daughter of Clarence and Carmel (Bard) O’Brien.
    She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Jeffrey Diefenderfer of Lawrenceville, Georgia; a son and daughter-in-law, Loren and Allison Mitchell of Dawsonville, Georgia; a son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Andrea Mitchell of Buford, Georgia; a brother and his wife, Keith and Sharon O’Brien of Mapleton, ME; a half-brother, Philip O’Brien of North Carolina; a sister and her husband, Nancy and Francis Carney of Ashland, ME; five grandchildren, Jennifer & Mary Diefenderfer, Andrew, Stewart, and Amanda Mitchell all of Georgia.
    Barbara was predeceased by her parents and also her husband Carl H. Mitchell Jr. A graveside services was held August 8 at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, Georgia.
