Races planned in Caribou

The annual Caribou Labor Day Road Race, the oldest race in Aroostook County, will take place Monday, Sept. 3 at Caribou High School beginning at 10:30 a.m. for walkers in the five-kilometer race and 11 a.m. for runners in the 8K.    Awards will be presented in several age divisions.
Preceding the Labor Day race will be the annual Viking Run, sponsored by Aroostook Savings and Loan. The childrens’ event is held at the CHS track beginning at 9 a.m. Pre-K (age 2-4) and kindergarten runners compete in a quarter-mile race, grades 1-2 and 3-4 compete in a half-mile run and grades 5-6 and 7-8 compete in a mile run.
Registration begins at 8:15 a.m.
