Dog training offered

    HOULTON — SAD 29/70 Adult Education is pleased to announce the return of Dog Obedience to its enrichment offerings. The instructor for the 7-week program is Ann Rairdon of County Canine Services.  She brings 15 years of experience to share with dogs and their owners in the Southern Aroostook area.     Rairdon has trained with internationally renowned author and dog trainer Gail Fisher, for whom she assisted and taught classes with for many years.  In addition to working with all breeds of dogs, Ann has trained and competed with her own dogs, including a Rottweiler, Labrador Retriever, and currently a miniature poodle.  Some of her dogs’ accomplishments include:  American and Canadian CDX, Utility, and AKC and NADAC Open Agility Titles.  
    Classes begin on Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 6:30 p.m. The first class is a session for humans only, no dogs. All classes will be held at the Region Two School of Applied Technology/SAVE building in the lobby area and will last for an hour.  Cost for the seven-week program is $80.  No aggressive dogs will be accepted for this program.  Prospective students must fill out an application upon registration.
