HOULTON — Two vehicles collided on the Ludlow Road Friday night, but Houlton Police say neither driver faced life-threatening injuries as a result.
According to Houlton Police Chief Butch Asselin, Roberta Silliboy, 70, of Littleton was at the intersection of the Callaghan and Ludlow Roads when her vehicle, a 1998 Buick, was struck on the left side by an oncoming car driven by Nancy Anthony, 40, of Ludlow.
“Nancy observed Roberta approach the Callaghan Road and Ludlow Road intersection and believed she was going to stop,” said Asselin. “But allegedly she did not.”
The force of the collision pushed Silliboy’s vehicle off the roadway, he said. Both women were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
Damage estimates were not available at press time, but a hospital official confirmed that both women had been treated and released.
