Backus, Cheryl A., 51, October 20, 2007. Interment was held in Northwood, New Hampshire.     ALLENSTOWN, NH and HOULTON, ME – Cheryl Ann Ward Backus, 51, died October 20, 2007 in Concord Hospital. Cheryl was born in Portsmouth, NH, August 1956.
    Cheryl is survived by her husband, Robert, and three daughters, Tanya Fitts of Crestview, FL, and Amy Pike and Toni “TJ” Pike of Allenstown, NH. She is also survived by her father and step-mother, Arnold and Anne Ward of Northwood, NH; her brother and sister-in-law, David and Deborah “DJ” Clement of Hudson, NH; her brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Diane Ward of Alton, NH; she also had three granddaughters; and several aunts and uncles, Lawrence and Josie Ward, Jim and Shirley Ward of Houlton, Mary and Fred Roeskie of Brewer, Joyce Ward Hannington also of Brewer; and several nieces and nepews. Cheryl was predeceased by her mother, Jacqueline Lindsay Ward; and her grandparents Robert and Helen Ward and Ralph and Helen Grant Lindsay.
    Other than her family and friends, Cheryl’s greatest loves in life were country music and her animals.
