Jandreau receives judicial award

Bryan Jandreau has been named the recipient of a Judicial Branch Special Service Award. Jandreau is the Facilities Manager for the County of Aroostook. The State Courts in Houlton and Caribou are located in County Courthouses and Jandreau is responsible for many aspects of the coordination between the County and the State for court facility issues.
During the last year the Judicial Branch undertook a project in the Caribou Courthouse to enable District and Superior Court clerks’ office personnel to be located together in the facility. Jandreau played a large role in coordinating the contractor’s work with the courts schedules, with county activities, and in light of court security concerns.  He worked closely with the Project Architect, the Court Clerk and the Judicial Branch Facilities Director, to minimize the impact on those who use the County Courthouse.
Chief Justice Leigh Saufley made the presentation to Jandreau at a lunchtime gathering of court employees in the Caribou Courthouse on Oct. 18. In her remarks the Chief Justice noted the importance of a cooperative relationship between the County and the State to ensure that the needs of the public are met.  She noted that Bryan embodies the true spirit of cooperation along with a high level of expertise so that all of the citizens of Aroostook County benefit from his efforts.
The State has authorized the expenditure of $2.5 million for renovations to the Houlton Courthouse and Jandreau will again be serving as a member of the project team, which will carry out those renovations.
