HOULTON — Two drivers were unhurt after a collision at the intersection of North and Maple streets Monday afternoon.
Officer Eric Crouse of the Houlton Police Department said the accident happened around 2 p.m. when Jordy Kessenich, 40, of Houlton was pulling out of Maple Street in an attempt to cross North Street. At the same time, Leighton Craig, 75, of Bridgewater was headed north on North Street.
“They met somewhere in the middle,” said Crouse.
Neither driver was hurt in the accident, and both were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.
According to Crouse, Craig’s 1992 Buick Century and Kessenich’s 1991 Toyota Camry were both totaled.
Those assisting at the scene included Paramedic Dan Jewell and EMT Daniel Norton, Sgt. Kris Miller of the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office, Brady Henderson of the Maliseet Police Department and Houlton Police Officer Steve Nason.
