Walsh receives a match
Mark Walsh has been awarded one of three pharmacy residency positions at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) Medical Center. Sponsored by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), the match is administrated by the National Matching Service, in which applicants and positions are matched through an interview process. A pharmacy residency is a postgraduate training in a defined area of pharmacy.     Walsh is a 1999 graduate of Central Aroostook High School in Mars Hill, attended the University of Maine at Orono from 1999 to 2001 and graduated in 2006 from the University of Rhode Island with his doctor of pharmacy degree and a bachelor of arts degree in chemistry. He was most recently employed at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor as a staff pharmacist and part-time with Wal-Mart Pharmacies in Maine.
Wash’s goal is to specialize in oncology pharmacy. He is the eldest son of Kathy and David Walsh of Blaine.
