PRESQUE ISLE – Aroostook County’s own Sound Friendships will perform at the Northeastland Hotel in Presque Isle Saturday, Nov. 10 for a benefit dance to support the Aroostook County Branch of the American Red Cross’ Disaster Relief Fund Campaign.
The dance will be held from 8-11 p.m. and donations will be accepted at the door.
For over 90 years, the Aroostook County Branch of the American Red Cross – Pine Tree Chapter has been providing no- cost assistance to disaster victims by supplying immediate shelter, food, new clothing, mental and physical health support, information and referrals for assistance and international services.
In addition, the Red Cross provides no-cost Emergency Preparedness Services to individuals and businesses including consultation and planning for natural and man-made emergencies such as pandemic flu, business disruption, toxic material spills, and terrorism. All disaster services are funded by the generous contributions of community members. No government support is provided, nor is the American Red Cross a government agency.
Proceeds from the dance will help to ensure disaster services continue to be available for our local community.
