Woodland Extension delivers basket, plans Christmas party

Members of the Woodland Extension met Nov. 20 in the home of Elizabeth Beaulieu, secretary. Co-president Theresa Andrews conducted the business meeting after the reading of the Homemaker’s Creed. Secretary’s and treasurer’s reports were given and dues were collected. Cash fund and Pennies for Caring were gathered.     Members brought items for a Thanksgiving basket which was delivered the next day by Andrews and Beaulieu. The group plans to do another basket for Christmas. The group will be doing Hawaii for International Night in January.
Dodie Olmstead and Janet Ketch were leaders. Olmstead gave a talk on cranberries while Ketch spoke on nutrition. Several contributed to lunch and it was served by Beaulieu.
Norma Bondeson gave a short talk on the Aroostook County Extension meeting she attended recently in Presque Isle. A suggestion was made to have a talk on wills and legal matters, maybe at the April meeting at Heritage View.
The Extension Christmas Party will be held at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 11 at the home of Theresa Andrews. Everyone is to bring a gift and items for a Christmas basket.
Members attending the November meeting were Elizabeth Cochran, Priscilla Neilander, Janet Ketch, Arline St. Peter, Theresa Andrews, Elizabeth Beaulieu, Clair Hodgkins, Norma Bondeson, Dodie Olmstead, Darlene Espling, Mavis Carson and guest, Diane Gross.
