High school basketball games to be heard locally
Ken Holck and crew will again be broadcasting high school varsity basketball games on MAGIK 100.1 FM and the games can also be heard on the Internet at www.whoufm.com. Streaming starts with the pre-game, 15 minutes before tip off.
Holck will begin the season with a double header from Houlton’s Alumni Gymnasium on Friday, Dec. 7 when the Houlton High School girls and boys host Schenk of East Millinocket. The girls’ contest starts at 5:30 p.m., followed by the boys’ game at 7 p.m.
The rest of the first-week of season games is as follows: Monday, Dec. 10, Hodgdon varsity boys host Southern Aroostook, 7 p.m.; Tuesday, Dec. 11, Houlton varsity girls at Presque Isle, 7 p.m.; Wednesday, Dec. 12, Houlton varsity boys at Presque Isle, 7 p.m.; Thursday, Dec. 13, Hodgdon varsity girls host GHCA, 7 p.m.; Friday, Dec. 14, Houlton varsity girls host defending Class D state champion Lee Academy, 7 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 15, Houlton varsity boys host Lee Academy, 2:30 p.m.
