Image    CARIBOU – John A. Lancaster II, 51, died Sunday December 2, 2007 at his residence in Fort Kent.  He was born November 27, 1956 in Caribou the son of John A. “Jack” and Juanita “Wannie” (Davenport) Lancaster.  John grew up in Caribou and graduated from Caribou High School as a member of the National Honor Society and Who’s Who in America’s High School Students.  He was a graduate of Colby College, USM, and New England Institute of Mortuary Science.  John was a funeral director and co-owner of the Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home in Caribou for many years.  He enjoyed playing chess and competed in many tournaments. John enjoyed a variety of music and playing bass guitar. He spent a lot of time working on and riding his motorcycles. 
    In addition to his mother Wannie, he is survived by two sons; Tyler John-Robert Lancaster and Casey Robert Lancaster both of Caribou.  John was predeceased by his father Jack in 2003. 
    Friends called 6-8 p.m.  Thursday at the Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou.  A private graveside service will be held in the spring at Advent Cemetery in Limestone.  Those who wish may make donations in John’s memory to the Jack Lancaster Memorial Scholarship c/o Gray Memorial Methodist Church, 2 Prospect St. Caribou, ME 04736.  Arrangements are in care of Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home.  Friends may express their condolences to the family at www.lancastermorgan.com.
