PRESQUE ISLE – Madelyn E. Longo, 101, died Thursday, December 6, 2007, at a Presque Isle Nursing Home. Madelyn was born on June 4, 1906, in Caribou, the daughter of Ivory (Tim) and Priscilla (Monteith) Harmon and the second eldest of fifteen children. Madelyn worked primarily as a waitress in various area restaurants. Madelyn is predeceased by brothers George Willis, Roscoe, Frank Edward, John Florida, Grover Lee, Edward W., Archie Leopold, Brydon Arnold, Edgar, and sisters Pearl Etta (Beveridge), Maude Myrtle (Nadeau), and Katherine Harmon.
Madelyn is survived by sisters Mabel Evelyn (Doody) and Kathleen Dorothy (Brinkman) Harmon both of Lakeland, Florida, and several nieces and nephews.
Services were conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 11, 2007, at Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St. in Caribou. Friends called from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
