ALL DECKED OUT — Houlton High School musicians Taylor Armstrong and Ian Small play at a recent varsity boys basketball game. On Jan. 5, the Houlton High School alumni band will supply music for that night’s game.
This year, the Alumni Band will perform on its own, so a strong turnout is needed from many different generations of alumni to make this event a success.
The band will be led by Dave McGillicuddy and Joe Fagnant.
    The schedule is as follows:
Saturday Jan. 5, 2008
    • 12 p.m. — Arrive at HHS to prepare music/instruments.
    • 12:15 p.m. — Rehearsal on stage in HHS auditorium.
    • 1:15 p.m. — Lunch provided by SAD 29 Music Boosters
    • 2 p.m. — Prepare for pre-game for varsity girls. Perform musical selections, National Anthem and also at halftime.
    • 4 p.m. — Finished

Anyone who wishes to participate in this event, should email or call Joe Fagnant, HHS Band Director, at jofagnant@houlton.sad29.k12.me.us or 532-6551.  Due to time constraints, there will be no mailing of music. Familiar songs from years past will be chosen and music packets will be ready when alumni arrive.
Special recognition will also be given to alumni that fit the following categories: furthest traveled, oldest alumni and largest class represented.
“This is an exciting opportunity to bring alumni from different generations together to relive a great musical experience. We looking forward to having you return to HHS,” said Fagnant.
