Jedrey, Shirley M., 79, February 7, 2008.  Arrangements by Dunn Funeral Home, Houlton.
    Cary Plantation – Shirley Mae Severance Jedrey, 79, died February 7, 2008, at a local hospital with family and friends nearby. She was born Oct. 29, 1928, at Haverhill, MA, the daughter of Roland L. and Dorothy (Burnham) Severance.
    Shirley was a caring, loving person who was always making people feel welcome. She loved spending time with family and friends, enjoyed knitting, making quilts and going antiquing with her husband Ralph. Shirley was very proud of the fact that she had stopped smoking after 60 years so that she could be baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and loved talking to people about God’s Kingdom and the time when Jehovah God will wipe away all tears and death and sorrow that will be replaced with the hope of the resurrection that Jesus promised. Revelation 21:3, 4.
    Shirley is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Driscoll and Ed of Cary Plantation; two sons, Thomas Jedrey of Danforth, Peter Jedrey and his wife Phyllis of Barrington, NH; four grandchildren, Catherine and Christine Jedrey of Barrington, NH, Shane Mowrey and his wife Natasha of Cary Plantation, Thomas Mowrey and his wife Rosario of Bangor; two great-grandchildren, Anton Mowrey of Cary, Julie Mowrey of Grand Rapids, MI; one brother, Roland Severance and his wife Joyce of South Windsor, CT; nieces and nephews Mark Severance and his wife Heather of South Windsor, CT, Brenda Lacostic and her husband Jim of Cary Plantation, Helen Bousquet of Hampton Beach, NH, William Wilson of Plaistow, NH; and sister-in-law Betty Lane of Amesbury, MA. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years Ralph Jedrey who she loved dearly.
    A memorial service was held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Smyrna Street, 2 p.m., Saturday with Sam Smallwood giving a small memorial talk. A time of fellowship was held after the service at the Driscoll’s residence in Cary Plantation.
