Deirdre Charette and Chuck Ames are pleased to announce their engagement.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of David and Lola Charette, of Fort Kent, and the granddaughter of Joel and Claudette Plourde, of Fort Kent. She is a 2003 graduate of Fort Kent Community High School, a 2006 graduate of Eastern Maine Community College with an associate degree in medical radiography and a 2007 graduate of Southern Maine Community College with an associate degree in radiation therapy.
The groom-to-be is the son of Chuck and Debi Ames, of Presque Isle, and the grandson of Chuck and Gene Ames, of Croswell, Mich.; as well as the grandson of John Bogosian, of Algonac, Mich. He is a 1997 graduate of Presque Isle High School, a 2001 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono with a bachelor of arts degree in art and a 2005 graduate of Southern Maine Community College with an associate degree in medical radiography.
The couple currently resides in Presque Isle, where Deirdre is employed as a radiation therapist for The Aroostook Medical Center and Chuck is employed as a CT technologist for TAMC.
A May 2008 wedding is planned.
