Residents of the town of New Sweden, Stockholm, Westmanland, Woodland and T-16/R-4 are invited to attend Education Night XIII in School Union 122, Wednesday, March 12, at the New Sweden School from 5:30-8 p.m. The School Union 122 Show Choir will perform. From 6:15-7:25 p.m. presentations on Poison Control, Immunizations, student produced I-movies, the Kieve Leadership experience, integration of the Arts into core subjects, a wrestling demonstration, the Take-Time Program, Worm Culture and the Apprentice Gardener Program, can be found in the school cafeteria, hallways and classrooms.
A Scholastic Book Fair will also be conducted in the library throughout the evening.
A free public dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. The menu includes a buffet of meatballs, baked beans, stuffed shells, potato salad, rolls, vegetable platter, apple crisp, coffee and punch.
This event is sponsored through federal grants and local funds. Please call your local school if you plan to attend and join in this important community endeavor.
