The Preceptor Alpha Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met Saturday, March 8, at 10 a.m. at the home of Sue Blanchard. Nancy Lee Smith was co-hostess.
Sisters voted to make a donation to Presque Isle High School Project Graduation and to have a non-perishable food drive at the April meeting. The items will be donated to the Catholic Charities of Maine food pantry. The mystery gift, donated by Bernice Belanger, was won by Blanchard. Sisters shared family news and other events in their lives during the Care and Share portion of the meeting.
Following the business meeting, sisters enjoyed refreshments prepared by Blanchard, Smith and Emily Knight. Sisters assembled over 100 toiletry packets for donation to The Battered Women’s Shelter and Sister Mary O’Donnell shelter for the homeless.
The next meeting will be Thursday, April 10, at 7 p.m. at the home of Anne LaPlante. Election of officers and rituals for progressing members will be the program for this meeting.
