Catholic Youth Ministry plans annual Pre-Convention Retreat

    Region 1 Catholic Youth Ministry is in the process of planning their annual Pre-Convention Retreat. This year’s retreat will be on March 15 and will be hosted by Notre Dame Parish in Madawaska at the St. David worship site. It will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 9 p.m. For this county-wide retreat, different parishes attended a planning meeting and have volunteered to plan and present a portion of the retreat’s agenda. Youth who have attended the diocesan-sponsored Christian Leadership Institute will present the community builders, prayers, graces and two workshops throughout the day. The afternoon agenda will also include a discernment process in which the registered participants decide which teenagers should represent Aroostook County on the two diocesan youth leadership teams. The afternoon concludes with an afternoon mass and a potluck dinner, followed by a dance and game room. The planning group has decided to tithe to the Edgar J. Paradis Cancer Fund.
