Lafrancois, Mildred, 89, Caribou, in Caribou, March 9, 2008. Friends may call March 13, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Giverson-Dorsey Funeral Home, Fort Fairfield, where the funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m.

 

    Caribou – Mildred L. LaFrancois, 89, wife of Jerome J. LaFrancois, died Sunday evening, March 9, 2008 at a Caribou healthcare facility, following an extended illness. She was born August 10, 1918, in Connor, the daughter of Ernest and Lena (McGraw) Scott. She attended local schools and had attended the High Street Baptist Church, Limestone.
    In addition to her parents, Mildred was predeceased by her daughter, Shirley Bouchard; her first husband, Leo Bouchard in 1969; two brothers, Percy and Kenneth Wilcox; three sisters, Nettie Nichols, Ruby Ryan and Gladys Scott. She is survived by her husband of seventeen years, Jerome J. LaFrancois of Caribou; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and members of her extended family.
    Friends may call Thursday, March 13, 2008, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield, where a funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. with the Pastor Charlie Campbell of the High Street Baptist Church, Limestone officiating. Interment will take place at Green Ridge Cemetery, Caribou, later in the spring. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in memory of Mildred to her family, 463 Access Highway, Caribou, 04736. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
