Caribou High School French teacher Daniel Fishman recently introduced his friends from France to his students.  Jean Lenormand and Madeleine Denivelle spoke to Fishman’s French and history classes Feb. 8 on topics ranging from high schools in France and French cooking to current political sentiment toward the newly-elected president of the Republic.  Everyone agreed that the arrival of the visitors gave CHS students an opportunity to receive a first-hand impression of life today in France. Mr. Fishman and Monsieur Lenormand have been friends for over 35 years, a relationship that began as a result of a chance meeting in France when Fishman was a university student pedaling a bicycle through Normandy in 1972.  Pictured with the Lenormands are French II students, from left, Crystal Brayall, Hillary Chambers, Ashley Doucette and Stephanie Brigley.
