Dear Scottie:
I just broke up with my boyfriend. I don’t know what to do because I love him so much, but he tends to hit on every girl in sight when I’m not around. What should I do? Emotional Ex

Dear Emotional Ex:
In this case, what you need to do is ask yourself, “If I stay with him, am I going to be able to trust him around other girls? Is he going to end up cheating on me again and breaking my heart?” Try moving on and have fun being single or work on another relationship that’s going to make you happy.

Dear Scottie:
I’m trying to arrange a party for my best friend. All my other friends are whining about details and how they want things done, but no one will help out. What should I do? Party Planner

Dear Party Planner:
If your friends are whining about the details of the party and they wish not to participate in helping out, you as the “leader” need to step up and say, “If you want your details used into the party planning, you need to take the responsibility to do it.” As your friends, they should take you seriously. Good luck at the party.

Dear Scottie:
I am a new freshman at Houlton High School. At first, I was very worried about being a freshman. I hear they are commonly picked on. At first, all seemed all right. However, now I’m hearing all these rumors about winter carnival. Being a freshman, I don’t want to get into any sticky situations. I’ve heard that some freshmen get stuffed into lockers. Ahhh! How do I keep myself out of these situations? Nervous Freshman

Dear Nervous Freshman:
Ahh, yes, the famous freshman winter carnival question. There’s really not too much you can do to avoid this. Winter carnival is a class-eat-class event. The only advice I can give you is to stay away from all seniors. But, remember the motto FWC? Freshmen Will Cry. Good Luck!
