Journalism. Written and directed by Ms. Storti.
80 mins. PG-13.
If you believe the style of writing for the news and for your English teacher is the same, this class will open your eyes. All essay enthusiasts beware: writing for the newspaper is what you will learn in Ms. Storti’s journalism class.     While essay enthusiasts may struggle, any persons in favor of short, to-the-point sentences will thrive. Do you enjoy reading the newspaper? Would you enjoy writing for one? Can you deal with being called Lovey-Dovey? Then this is the class for you.
While only in her second year of teaching this class, Ms. Storti shows a surprising amount of knowledge and forte in the subject.
Mixing humor with her lessons, Ms. Storti turns what could have been a dreadful class into a fun way to learn how to deal with peer editing, deadlines and a complete switch from all the writing styles students have learned thus far.
Final Grade: A. (Well, duh. She’s proofreading this; what grade do you think I’m going to give her?)
