WIND FARM MARKS ANNIVERSARY – Local and state dignitaries gathered at Big Rock in Mars Hill on Tuesday, March 25, to celebrate the one-year anniversary of UPC Wind’s wind farm atop Mars Hill Mountain.
Present for the celebration were, from left: Gov. John E. Baldacci; Town Manager Ray Mersereau; Patrick McGowan, commissioner, Maine Department of Conservation; Brent Boyles, president and CEO of Maine Public Service, a subsidiary of Maine & Maritimes Corporation; Matthew Kearns, director of northeast development, UPC Wind; and Paul Gaynor, president and CEO, UPC Wind.
