HOULTON — One driver was hurt in a Friday morning accident on Court Street.
The accident happened just before 8 a.m. near the office of Dr. Peter Stanley. Sgt. Dave McPherson of the Maine State Police said Trooper Dennis Quint, on his way to a 4-vehicle accident in Bridgewater, collided with a 2003 Ford truck driven by 48-year-old Hollis Seamans of Houlton.

COURT STREET ACCIDENT — Police respond to a two-vehicle accident on Court Street Friday morning. This truck had climbed almost to the top of the snow bank by Dr. Stanley’s office; a Maine State Police cruiser was also towed from the scene.
“Trooper Quint was responding to the accident in Bridgewater with his emergency lights and siren on,” explained McPherson. “He was passing a line of traffic and Mr. Seamans was turning left in front of him, causing the collision.”
Trooper Quint was not hurt, but Seamans, complaining of pain to his head, was transported to Houlton Regional Hospital. By Friday afternoon, the hospital said he had been discharged.
Seamans reportedly told the State Police he had heard the cruiser’s siren, but didn’t realize its location until it was too late. His truck, which came to rest near the peak of a snow bank at the intersection of Court and Leonard streets, sustained roughly $2,500 in damage. The State Police cruiser sustained approximately $5,000 in damage.
