Star City Seniors Jan. 31
The Star City Senior Citizens‘ Club met at the V.F.W. Jan. 31, 2008, with 32 members and two guests. The blessing was said by Donna Devoe, after which we had a wonderful potluck luncheon. The president Donna Devoe opened the meeting with the “Lord’s Prayer”, flag salute and one verse of “America.” Then Donna Devoe read the bi-laws. Lets remember Wendall Perry’s family in prayer and also Ted Jackson — we lost some more members.
Secretary Delores M. Brown gave the report, approved and accepted by a showing of hands. The treasurer’s report was given by Jean Easler and approved by a showing of hands. We had guest Sheila Fitzgerald, guest of Audry Richards, and Isaac Raymond, guest of grandmother Delores Raymond. Then Sheila Fitzgerald joined our club. Thank you Sheila, glad to have you with us. Our sick members: Marie Lamb, Winnie Brown and Walter Gramor.
If someone passes away, the donations will be given to a donation approved of by a showing of hands.
