Emma was a very special person and above all else, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was dedicated to her close knit family, and derived immense pleasure from spending time with her family. She had a wonderful sense of humor and the family gatherings were filled with enough love and memories to keep her in their hearts forever. She especially enjoyed the opportunities to share her diverse hobbies with her family and friends, not only her passion for horses but animals of all types, the rehabilitation of wild animals, camping, hunting, fishing, photography, music, gardening, quilting and oil painting. She also shared her experiences, aspirations and inspirations to try something new and perhaps adventurous.
Emma and her ever loving husband, Clayton, with whom she shared 68 wonderful years, were life long residents of Ludlow. Family and friends will remember the award-winning stable of Appaloosa and her prized Palomino Quarter Horse, 'Harmon'. Many local area residents may remember visiting the wildlife menagerie, in particular the moose and black bear, which resided for many years on their farm in Ludlow.
Emma is survived by her husband; three children, Judy Eastham and her husband Raymond, Jill Hurd and her husband Greg, and Jon Fraser all of Houlton; seven grandchildren, Ken Eastham, Linda Kinney, Terri Dunn, Toni Eastham, Chris Eastham, Sherri French and Shawn French; and nine great-grandchildren, Tim Kinney, Ashley Eastham, Ben Kinney, Dustin Eastham, Lauren Eastham, Brandon Dunn, Madison Dunn, Alex Dunn and Tanner Polchies.
