York, Linda M., 60, March 31, 2008.  Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home, Houlton.  Interment to be held in the spring in the Evergreen Cemetery.
    UNION – Linda M. (Austin) York, 60, died March 31, 2008, in Bangor. She was born July 25, 1947, in Houlton, the daughter of Mary "Marie" (Barrow) and Floyd Austin Jr.
    Linda spent many years caring for the elderly at Gardiner Nursing Home, Houlton and Shore Village Rehabilitation Center, Rockland. She enjoyed spending time with friends, family and checking out the dollar/thrift stores with her granddaughter, Brittany.
    She is survived by three children, Donna and her husband, Randy Jewell, of Houlton, Barry York of Union and Jennifer York of Union; five grandchildren, Samantha, Brittany and Jordan Jewell, Harley Tompkins and Caiden Wood; three brothers, Dana "Johnny" and his wife, Donna Sue Austin, of Ludlow, Ronald Austin of Houlton, Thomas and his wife, Joann Austin of Potsdam, NY; three sisters, Cynthia and her husband, Tony Hartt, of Venice, Fla., Sandra and her husband, Dale Henderson of Houlton and Nancy and her husband, Roger Lavoie, of Hodgdon; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; daughter, Christie York;  and brothers, Larry and Russell.
    Visiting hours were held 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Bowers Funeral Home. A funeral service was held 11 a.m. Friday, April 4, at New Limerick Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. David Tuttle officiating, with a fellowship after the service. Spring burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
