CHS students raise food funds

    Caibou High School students  joined forces with the high school’s and technology center’s staff to raise funds for the local soup kitchen.     A total of $1,100 was raised, according to the students.
    Caribou High School Student Council President Spencer McElwain presented a check to Shirley Fortin of the Break of Life Soup Kitchen last week.
    CHS students, through the leadership of the Student Council collected $900 for the kitchen to cover several of the soup kitchen’s most urgent bills.
    In addition, staff at the high school and technology center held an “old fashion pie social” and raised an additional $200 in donations for the kitchen.
    Accoding to school officials, Fortin approached CHS Principle Mark Jones abou the students donig a fundraiser for othe Caribou soup kitchen.
    Present at the check presentation were Amy Anderson, Taylor Jepson,  Ally Hessert, NHS president,  Lindsey Cote, Amanda Pelletier, Mark Jones, CHS principal and Karen King.
