Elks Lodge sponsors essay

    EACH YEAR, the national Elks sponsor an essay contest for students in grades 5-8, and award winners at the local, district, state and national levels. This year, students were asked to write, “What is an American?” The Presque Isle Elk Lodge 1954 reviewed the essays submitted by local middle school students and selected a boy and girl winner from each grade level.
